Dr. Jennifer Schnippert is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Florida State University. She brings extensive clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, home health and urgent care, complemented by a strong background in nursing education and healthcare simulation.

Dr. Schnippert began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing from FSU in 2011, followed by her DNP in 2014. Before becoming a nurse, she completed a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at the University of North Florida and gained experience in education and laboratory research. As a registered nurse, she worked in oncology/hematology, medical-surgical care and acute care float pool settings.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Schnippert is an experienced educator and faculty member in the graduate nursing program, where she teaches and mentors Doctor of Nursing Practice students. She has previously taught nursing clinicals at Tallahassee State College and is now actively involved in teaching and mentoring nurse practitioner students in the family nurse practitioner program at FSU. With a strong background in mentoring and precepting nurse practitioner students, she is dedicated to shaping the next generation of advanced practice providers. Her academic interests include nurse practitioner education, health care simulation and preceptor training.

Dr. Schnippert is committed to providing compassionate, individualized health care to all patients. She has clinical interests in diabetes, endocrinology, women’s health, sexual health and reproductive health. She believes in creating a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their health concerns and receiving evidence-based care tailored to their needs.

She is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Tallahassee Area Council of Advanced Practice Nurses, the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a dedicated member of Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity, reflecting her strong foundation in biochemistry and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration in health care.

Outside of work, Dr. Schnippert enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and two young adult daughters. She also shares her home with a beloved dog and three cats. Originally from Michigan’s upper peninsula, she has lived in Florida since 2001. She enjoys attending FSU sporting events, traveling, reading, kayaking, hiking and exploring new culinary experiences in her free time.

She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and supporting individuals in achieving their best possible health. Dr. Schnippert welcomes new patients to the practice and looks forward to partnering with them on their journey to better health.
