Education and Experience: (Nancy) Elizabeth Markovich is a family nurse practitioner certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her Master’s and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees are both from Florida State University. She is a Certified Functional Medicine practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. She has extensive experience in general family practice medicine, rheumatology and functional medicine. This involves specialized testing, with a focus on lifestyle measures and supplements. She was the owner and founder of Integrative Healthcare (along with husband Martin), which became the FSU Health Lifestyle Medicine Clinic in 2024.
Professional Focus and Interests: Dr. Markovich has a special interest in the treatment of hormone imbalance, thyroid problems, heart disease, risk of diabetes, digestive problems, chronic fatigue and pain. She partners with patients to find and modify the underlying causes of health problems and to achieve their health goals.
Personal Interests: Elizabeth enjoys vegetable gardening, growing herbs and permaculture in her yard. She loves visiting the farmer’s market with her dog and cooking for her husband Martin, friends, family (including teen grandkids), and church.
